Dr. Sassani was awarded his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College) in Philadelphia. He underwent residency training at the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Medicine), where he also completed his fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology.
