Dr. VanderWalde is an Assistant Professor in the department of radiation oncology at the University of Tennessee West Cancer Center. He’s previous research interests included work in pediatric, geriatric and radiation oncology. He has several  health services related  research publications in the field of head and neck cancer. He is now pursuing an academic career focused on clinical and health services outcomes research in radiation oncology with a focus on geriatrics.
