Alexandra Zhang MD
Founder, Multidisciplinary Transplant Dermatology Clinic, University of Pittsburgh and the Cleveland ClinicAfter receiving her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University in China, Dr. Zhang completed a NIH NRSA research fellowship in Investigative Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University followed by a residency in Dermatology at University of Alabama at Birmingham where she served as Chief Resident. After residency, Dr. Zhang joined University of Pittsburgh as an Assistant Professor. Because of her strong interest in high risk skin cancer, Dr. Zhang pursued further training in Dermatologic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, where she joined the Dermatology Department as a Staff Physician. Dr. Zhang is an expert in the management of aggressive skin cancers. She founded the Multidisciplinary Transplant Dermatology Clinic at University Pittsburgh and the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Zhang has published extensively, and has lectured nationally and internationally. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative, and the Woman’s Dermatologic Society. Her clinical focus is on Dermatologic Surgery including Mohs Micrographic Surgery, laser surgery, cutaneous oncology, as well as cosmetic dermatology.
