John J. Warren DDS, MS

Warren, DDS, MS, is a Professor in the Department of Preventive & Community Dentistry at the University of Iowa. He was certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Dental Public Health in 1995, and later served as that board’s president during 2018-19. He is a long-time faculty member at the U of I, where he teaches first- and second-year dental students, and directs the graduate program in Dental Public Health. Dr. Warren has done research in a variety of areas, resulting in over 200 peer-reviewed publications, but his main focus has been on the epidemiology of early childhood caries and dental fluorosis. Dr. Warren served as President of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry.
