Esther M. Bowie MD
Professor of Ophthalmology, Surgical Retina and Uveitis, Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PennsylvaniaDr. Esther Bowie is Professor of Ophthalmology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Bowie completed her residency training in ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and her surgical retina fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 2004.
Prior to joining Penn State in 2010, Dr. Bowie served as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at MUSC for 5 years. She has expertise in the medical and surgical care of patients with retinal disorders. She also has a special interest in uveitis. In addition, she teaches medical students, residents, and is involved in clinical research.
