Instructor, Department of Neurology, Harvard Medical School; Neuro-Oncologist, Pappas Center for Neuro-Oncology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MassachusettsDr. Julie Miller is an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School and a Neuro-Oncologist at the Pappas Center for Neuro-Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She received an undergraduate degree in biological engineering from Cornell University and a combined MD and PhD in Chemical and Systems Biology from Stanford University School of Medicine, where her research focused on cancer biology. She then completed Neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital through the Partners Neurology program as well as clinical fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She has a clinical and research focus on gliomas, with a particular interest in IDH mutant gliomas, which comprise the vast majority of low-grade gliomas. Her current research program seeks to further understand IDH mutant glioma biology to uncover novel treatment strategies for this class of glioma.
