Jeffrey J. Kirshner MD, FACP, FASCO

Kirshner is a medical oncologist at Hematology Oncology Associates of Central New York (HOACNY) in East Syracuse and serves as an investigator in the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology. He is an author or co-author of over 75 peer-reviewed research publications. He has an active clinical practice as well, currently specializing in breast cancer.
He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed residency and fellowship training at the SUNY Upstate Medical Center.
Dr. Kirshner has a strong interest in patient care and is actively involved in clinical research. He is also an active volunteer in Alliance and ASCO. He currently serves as the chair of the Data Safety and Monitoring Board for Alliance and is a member of several committees: Breast Committee, Symptom Intervention Committee, and Community Oncology Committee. He is a member of the ASCO Practice Guidelines Implementation Network and serves as the community oncology representative on four expert panels and the Cancer Survivorship Guidelines Advisory Group.
