Dr. Borlaug is a board certified cardiologist, specializing in heart failure and invasive hemodynamic assessment, where he cares for heart failure patients on a regular basis in both the clinics and hospital. He has conducted and collaborated on a number of studies examining the mechanisms of exercise tolerance using both invasive and noninvasive methods in patients with heart failure and is keenly interested in the pathophysiologic underpinnings for exercise tolerance and fatigue in heart failure.
