Heather Lynn McArthur MD

Dr. Heather McArthur is a medical oncologist with a practice in clinical breast cancer in Los Angeles, California. She is the Medical Director of Breast Oncology and Associate Professor of Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society for Medical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, and the Southwest Oncology Group, among other professional organizations.
Dr. McArthur’s research focuses on innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, and she has a special interest in novel immune strategies. She has written more than 75 articles and 60 abstracts and has been a reviewer for numerous medical journals, including Cancer, the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature, and The New England Journal of Medicine.
After receiving her medical degree from the University of Toronto, Dr. McArthur underwent residency training in internal medicine at the University of Calgary. She completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the British Columbia Cancer Agency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and a research fellowship in advanced clinical breast cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. McArthur also has a Masters of Public Health degree awarded by Harvard University.
