Yuri Kim MD, PhD
Associate Physician, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and Division of Genetics, Brigham and Women’s Hospital; Assistant Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MassachusettsDr. Kim is Associate Physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. As a cardiologist-scientist, Dr. Kim’s laboratory studies genetic and molecular mechanisms of cardiomyopathy with a goal of developing therapeutic strategies for heart failure. Dr. Kim’s current and recent research work includes (1) Human genetic sequencing analysis to understand genetic contribution to cardiovascular disease, (2) Investigation of transcriptional regulation in cardiovascular disease, and (3) Single-nucleus RNA-sequencing analysis to elucidate cellular and transcriptional profiles of cardiomyopathy. As a physician-scientist, Dr. Kim aims to translate her scientific findings in genetic and molecular basis of cardiomyopathy into development of novel therapeutic strategies for patients with heart failure.
