He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Zhengzhou University, China; postgraduate training at the University of North Carolina affiliated Cone Health; and Masters of Science in Clinical Research at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Dr. Pokharel’s research interests include epidemiology of lipids and atherosclerosis. His clinical interests include preventive cardiology, lipids and atherosclerosis.
