Dr. Venée Tubman is a Pediatric Hematologist / Oncologist at the Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers (TXCH) and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. In 2017, Dr. Tubman joined Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Centers where she the co-Director of the Sickle Cell and Thalassemia Program at TXCH and is an Associate Director of TXCH Global HOPE (Hematology/Oncology Programs of Excellence). Dr. Tubman’s clinical and research efforts are focused on understanding modifiers of outcomes for patients with hemoglobinopathies (e.g. sickle cell disease, thalassemia), understanding interactions between sickle cell disease and malaria, and in global health program development. Dr. Tubman is dedicated to expanding diversity among physicians and health care providers.
