Sonmoon Mohapatra MD

Dr. Sonmoon Mohapatra is a third-year Gastroenterology fellow at Saint Peters University Hospital, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Jersey. She attended medical school at Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Saint Peters University Hospital, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, NJ. During her residency and fellowship training, Dr. Mohapatra had the opportunity to become a Visiting Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, and John Hopkins University Hospital. She has a special interest in endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies, premalignant lesions and early cancer in the gastrointestinal tract, and pancreatic and biliary disease. She is looking forward to pursuing an Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Arizona.
