Sejna Alibegovic is a third-year medical student at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Indiana University-Bloomington with minors in Biology and Slavic Language and Literature.

Her research experience includes her undergraduate work with Dr. Danielle-Panoz Brown on applying a model of episodic memory replay to transgenic rat models of Alzheimer’s disease. Also, she has worked with the University of Cincinnati Department of Family and Community Medicine and CARDI-OH, the Ohio Cardiovascular and Diabetes Health Collaboration, in presenting evidence-based best practices for primary care teams aimed at identifying and addressing patients with obstructive sleep apnea and their cardiovascular risks.

Sejna is still exploring her specialty interests as she enters her clinical years but remains interested in primary care and academic medicine.
