Dr. Moldwin is Professor of Urology at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra-Northwell. He is also Director of the Pelvic Pain Treatment Center at The Arthur Smith Institute for Urology of the Northwell Health System. Dr. Moldwin has a national and international reputation as a leader in the field of pelvic pain with special interests in pain syndromes including interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome and chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals some of which have included Cancer, The Journal of Urology, The British Journal of Urology International, The British Medical Journal, Contemporary Urology, and Urology. Dr. Moldwin is the author of the well-received, “The Interstitial Cystitis Survival Guide: Your Guide to the Latest Treatment Options and Coping Strategies,” the first physician-written book exclusively related to interstitial cystitis, designed to reach an audience comprised of both physicians and patients. He also has recently edited a physician-oriented textbook entitled "Urological And Gynaecological Chronic Pelvic Pain."

He is affiliated with numerous medical societies including American Urological Association, International Association for the Study of Pain, The Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction, and is past President of the Society for Infections and Inflammation in Urology. Dr. Moldwin serves on multiple medical advisory boards including the Interstitial Cystitis Association, and is a member of its Board of Directors. He serves as co-Chair for IC/BPS in the MAPP (Multidisciplinary Approach to the Study Of Chronic Pelvic Pain), a project funded by the NIDDK. Currently, Dr. Moldwin is involved in several clinical drug and device studies dedicated to the treatment of pelvic pain syndromes.
