He graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from Vanderbilt Medical School, completed internship and residency at Vanderbilt, and was selected as Vanderbilt’s chief fellow for his gastroenterology fellowship. He completed the Master in Science and Clinical Investigation (MSCI) program, which has provided a framework for enhancing clinical research and better patient care. He serves on the Board of Editors for Gastroenterology and is funded by the NIH for novel management of achalasia. In addition to his role as an esophagologist with expertise in mucosal diseases (eosinophilic esophagitis) and motor diseases (achalasia, absent contractility), he is the director of fecal transplant at Vanderbilt University Medical center.
