Patel, MD, MSc, is a cardiologist and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He subsequently returned to Northwestern University for his fellowship in Cardiovascular medicine, where he earned a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation degree.
Dr. Patel leads a clinical and translational research program to investigate mechanisms of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). He also serves as a Steering Committee member or site Principal Investigator for several clinical trials investigating pharmacologic, device-based, and lifestyle treatments for HFpEF.
