Johnson, MD, is currently a fellow in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He participated in the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Air Force. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in San Antonio, Texas, and subsequently served as the Chief Resident for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. After his Chief Resident year, he spent several years practicing as an Active Duty internist in the Air Force prior to starting his GI fellowship. His research interests include Quality Improvement in endoscopy.
