Assistant Professor, Department of Urology, University of Florida, Gainesville, FloridaDr. O'Malley completed his residency at the University of Toronto in Canada and Society of Urologic Oncology (SUO) fellowship at Weill-Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York.
Currently, he is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. O'Malley's clinical interests range from bladder cancer to prostate cancer and minimally invasive urologic surgical therapies. His current research includes uncovering the mechanistic role of the tumour micro-environment in bladder cancer, patient and system factors affecting receipt of palliative care, and evaluating the role of small renal mass biopsy and genomic markers for kidney cancer. He also recruits patients to a number of cooperative group trials through the multi-disciplinary University of Florida Genitourinary research group.
