Assistant Professor of Neurology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, MarylandOlwen Murphy, MBBCh, MD, MRCPI, is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine & Johns Hopkins Hospital. She completed Neurology residency at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and fellowships in Neuroimmunology and Vestibular and Ocular Motor Neurology at Johns Hopkins. Her research focuses on the utilization of non-invasive imaging techniques to glean insights into neurodegeneration and neuronal dysfunction in MS, in order to identify novel biomarkers of disease which can be utilized in personalized medicine for people with MS and act as outcome measures for studies of neuroprotection, remyelination or neurorestoration.
