Melissa W. Acosta, PhD, is Executive Director for Research, Innovation, and Sponsored Programs at JPS Health Network. She currently leads the Office of Clinical Research at JPS Health Network, which comprises clinical trials, biostatics, research integrity, and sponsored programs. Under her guidance, she is building a robust clinical research program that aims to improve health outcomes, enhance healthcare delivery and advance health equity for the community. As part of community research and innovation, she serves as an executive board member of Tech FW as well as participates in community advisory boards for Texas Christian University and University of North Texas Health Science Center Institute for Health Disparities.
