Dr. Bilen received his medical degree at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey, after which he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Molecular Pathology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, and then a fellowship in hematology/oncology at MD Anderson. Currently, he is enrolled in a master of science program in clinical and translational sciences at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston.
Dr. Bilen is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group. He has published over 30 articles and 20 abstracts, plus a book chapter. He is the principal investigator of two clinical trials, which are currently accruing.
