Associate Professor and Urology Residency Program Director, University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, WA

Dr. Sorensen is a surgeon, educator, and researcher with a specialty interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, endourology, and the medical and surgical management of kidney stones.  Dr. Sorensen has served as the Urology Residency Program Director since 2014, and the Director of the Comprehensive Metabolic Stone Clinic at the Puget Sound VA since 2012. Dr. Sorensen’s translational research efforts are focused on improving the detection, sizing, repositioning and breaking of kidney stones with ultrasound through a strong collaborative effort with the UW Applied Physics Lab and the Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound group.
