Mark Miriello OD
Assistant Professor, Pennsylvania College of Optometry, The Eye Institute, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaDr. Miriello graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Biology. In 2015, he received his Doctor or Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After graduation, he completed a residency in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, where he trained under multiple specialists in fields including retina and glaucoma.
Following residency, Dr. Miriello worked as a full-time optometrist at MyEyeDr. in North Carolina before moving to Philadelphia to join the faculty at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) in late 2019. Dr. Miriello primarily serves as a clinical preceptor, closely working alongside optometry students and residents to provide patient care, as well as guest-lecturing in multiple courses. He was voted as PCO’s “Outstanding Clinical Preceptor” for the 2022-23 academic year and maintains a strong interest in retinal vascular disease and peri-operative co-management.
