She is passionate about caring for older adults with hematological conditions. She contributed significantly to our current understanding of the effects of COVID-19 vaccines in patients with immune thrombocytopenia. Her current laboratory-based research focuses on Age-Related Clonal Hematopoiesis.
Dr. Beltrami completed medical school and graduate studies in Brazil. She pursued postdoctoral research training in Vascular Biology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Beltrami completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Yale School of Medicine-affiliated Norwalk Hospital in 2019 served there as Chief Resident, supporting the Hospital's first response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
