Marco Bergonti earned his MD and completed his residency in Cardiology at the University of Milan. He was trained in cardiac electrophysiology during a 2-year fellowship in Antwerp by prof. Andrea Sarkozy, during which he also obtained his PhD in medical sciences with a thesis on catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. He is currently a EHRA-certified cardiac electrophysiologist with an interest in research on atrial fibrillation ablation, heart failure, and continuous rhythm monitoring.
