Chamberlain is Professor of Neurology and Neurological Surgery and Chief of the Division of Neuro-Oncology at the University of Washington Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in Seattle, Washington. Many of the methods used today in evaluating and managing neoplastic meningitis were developed by Dr. Chamberlain.
Dr. Chamberlain received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. He did residency training in pediatrics at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, and at Harbor -– UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. He completed fellowships in pediatric neurology at the University of California, Los Angeles, and in neurological surgery at the University of California, San Diego. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Chamberlain’s clinical and research interests are in the area of primary brain tumors, with a focus on clinical trials. He has published his work in over 225 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
