Lyndsay Degroot PhD, RN, CNE

Dr. Lyndsay DeGroot PhD, RN, CNE, is a nurse scientist, educator, and leader passionate about palliative care for older adults with multiple chronic conditions and their caregivers. Her ICU nursing experience caring for patients and families facing critical illness inspires her current research focused on providing high quality palliative care across care settings for older adults with serious illness and their care partners.

Dr. DeGroot received her PhD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and her doctoral research focused on examining the unmet palliative care needs of community-dwelling patients with heart failure and physical frailty. She is a current palliative care and aging postdoctoral fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine.
