Lauren E. Merz, MD, MSc is a hematology/oncology fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Mass General Brigham. She graduated from University of Michigan Medical School and completed a Master’s in Clinical Research at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She then completed internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Her clinical and research interests are in addressing systemic inequities within classical hematology, particularly focusing on pregnancy complications and women’s health, quality of life and outcomes in sickle cell disease, and the impact of the Duffy null phenotype on clinical care.
