Emerick, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Harvard Medical School and Associate Program Director, Harvard Otolaryngology Residency Program. He is a head and neck surgical oncologist and reconstructive surgeon in the Head and Neck Division at Mass Eye and Ear. His primary clinical and research interests focus on high risk skin cancers. He currently co-directs the MEE / MGH Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer Program. Current research includes identifying drivers of metastasis in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma and new pathway targets for systemic therapies in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma as well as defining the role for sentinel lymph node biopsy in non-melanoma skin cancers. From a reconstructive perspective his research clinical research has focused on defining the role of supraclavicular and submental pedicled flaps in head and neck reconstruction.
