Research Fellow in Medicine, Divisions of Sleep and Circadian Disorders and Sleep Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston, MassachusettsKaitlin S. Potts, PhD, MPH, is a Research Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in the Divisions of Sleep Medicine and Sleep and Circadian Disorders. Dr. Potts is trained in public health nutrition and nutritional and sleep epidemiology. Her past work addressed child malnutrition in low-income settings through monitoring and evaluation activities and studies to improve ongoing programming. Her current research uses large community and population-based cohorts to study health outcomes of sleep and rest-activity rhythms using accelerometry. She also investigates the relationships between sleep and diet, including diet timing, and how these behaviors jointly influence disease risk and may mediate health outcomes related to social determinants of health.
