Dr. Joseph Sassani is an ophthalmologist in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and Professor of Ophthalmology and Pathology at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center/Penn State Health Eye Center. He has been in practice for more than 45 years.

Dr. Sassani was awarded his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College) in Philadelphia. He underwent residency training at the Scheie Eye Institute of the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Medicine), where he also completed his fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology.
