Jorge D. Machicado MD, MPH
Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MichiganJorge Machicado, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Machicado earned his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, and received a Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. Machicado has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters. He is interested in epidemiology and clinical trials of pancreatic disorders and interventional endoscopy.
