Matt Hancock originally from Dallas, TX studied Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas at Austin then attended medical school and Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He completed fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he studied von Willebrand Factor (VWF) and Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP) under David Ginsburg.
Dr. Hancock has clinical interests in bleeding and clotting disorders including von Willebrand Disease, (VWD) Hemophilia and TTP. He is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Hematology and practices at Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center in Houston, Texas. He is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society and the International Society of Thrombosis and Hemostasis.
