Jennifer K. Maratt MD, MS
Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, IndianaDr. Jennifer Maratt is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is also Staff Physician at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Investigator at the Roudebush VA Health Services Research and Development (HSRD) Center for Health Information and Communication, and Research Scientist in the William M. Tierney Center for Health Services Research at Regenstrief Institute. She received her medical degree from Rush Medical College, then completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During her fellowship, she received the T32 Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from the National Institute of Health for training in epidemiology and health services. Through this program, she earned her Master's in Health and Health Care Research.
Dr. Maratt's clinical interests include caring for high-risk patients in her Inherited Colorectal Cancer Syndromes Clinic at Indiana University. Her research focusses on colorectal cancer screening and surveillance, with a particular emphasis on improving access to, and uptake of, high-value gastrointestinal cancer screening and surveillance. She is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), through which she serves as Chair of the Quality Committee, and is also an active member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Gastroenterology.
