Jennifer S. Ko MD, PhD
Associate Professor of Pathology and Co-Director, Section of Dermatopathology, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OhioDr. Jennifer Ko is an anatomic pathologist, dermatopathologist, and physician scientist at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Ko is an Associate Professor of Pathology with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, and the Co-Director of the Section of Dermatopathology. Dr. Ko has joint appointments in the Lerner Research Institute, Department of Inflammation and Immunity, and the Center for Immunotherapy and ImmunoOncology (CITI). She is the Medical Director of the Immune Monitoring Lab in the CITI. Dr. Ko’s research interests include diagnosis, classification, and prognostication of melanocytic neoplasms and other aggressive and immunogenic cutaneous tumors, as well as immunodermatopathology. She received her MD degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University in 2003 as part of a combined BS/MD (University of Akron 1997-1999) and her PhD in Immunology from Case Western Reserve University (2010) where her thesis was focused on myeloid-derived suppressor cells in cancer. She completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic in 2004 and was a Clinical Scholar in Experimental Therapeutics in the Taussig Cancer Institute from 2004-2009. Dr. Ko is a member of the International Melanoma Pathology Study Group and is a current or past member of numerous professional societies including the ASDP, USCAP, and the SITC. She is the author of over 100 peer reviewed articles and several book chapters.
