Professor of Neurology, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine; Co-Director, Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute, Chicago, IllinoisDr. Jeffrey Raizer, is a neuro-oncologist at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Co-Director of the Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute in Chicago. He is a Professor in the Ken and Ruth Davee Department of Neurology and Medicine-Hematology/Oncology and Director of Medical Neuro-Oncology. His clinical interests include primary and metastatic brain tumors, spinal cord tumors, and the neurologic complications of cancer.
After being awarded his medical degree from New York Medical College, Dr. Raizer underwent residency training in internal medicine at NYU/Bellvue and in neurology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He completed a 2-year fellowship in neuro-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Raizer has conducted more than 40 clinical trials in the last decade and is currently the principal investigator for several clinical trials at Northwestern. He is widely published in peer-reviewed journals, having authored more than 80 articles. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Society for Neuro-Oncology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, among other professional organizations.
