Jasper Boeddinghaus MD

After studying human medicine and completing his doctorate in basic cardiology research at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), he trained as an internist and cardiologist at the University Hospital Basel and the University Heart Center Freiburg-Bad Krozingen.
During a two-year fellowship at the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in Scotland, he specialized in interventional and structural cardiology. His clinical focus is on the interventional treatment of coronary and valvular heart disease with a particular interest in complex coronary interventions.
Scientifically, Dr. Boeddinghaus has been working for years on the optimization of myocardial infarction diagnostics using novel biomarkers as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning. As part of his scientific work at the Cardiovascular Research Institute Basel (CRIB) and the Centre for Cardiovascular Research Edinburgh, Dr. Boeddinghaus is actively involved in a large number of prospective cohorts and randomized studies. He is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and a member of the Biomarker Study Group.
