Helen M. Genova PhD
Associate Director, Center for Autism Research, Kessler Foundation; Associate Research Professor, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School, New Brunswick, New JerseyDr. Helen Genova is a neuroscientist, with a PhD in Neuroscience from Rutgers University. Her research involves studying and treating social issues across populations including Multiple Sclerosis. She is the recipient of a K18 Mentored Career Award funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIH). She has also been funded by the National Institute on Disability Independent Living and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers and other sources. In the field of MS, she has focused on social cognitive deficits, and how they relate to cognition, brain structure and function. She recently published a pilot Randomized Clinical Trial evaluating an emotional processing intervention in individuals with MS.
