Dr. Dahari graduated from Bar-Ilan University and then was a postdoctoral fellow and a Staff Scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and a Research Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He joined Loyola University Chicago in 2012. Dr. Dahari has an experience of more than 20 years in theoretical biology, with an emphasis on applying an interdisciplinary approach across both in vitro and in vivo experimental systems as well as population and patient clinical data with the aim to find and optimize interventions and therapeutics that may ultimately prevent and/or cure viral hepatitis infections. His research has been supported by several competitive research R01-type grants from the U.S. National Institute of Health, US Veteran Affairs, and industry.
