George Kroumpouzos MD, PhD, FAAD

He founded and serves as the Medical Director of GK Dermatology, PC, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, a comprehensive facility specializing in dermatology, laser, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Kroumpouzos has previously served as an Instructor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School and a Professor of Dermatology at Jundiaí Medical School, São Paulo, Brazil. He obtained MD and PhD degrees from Athens University School of Medicine in Greece and completed the Boston/Tufts Universities Dermatology Residency Program, achieving certification from both the American and European Boards of Dermatology. Moreover, Dr. Kroumpouzos holds key editorial positions in several publications, including Frontiers in Medicine, Dermatologic Therapy, International Journal of Women's Dermatology, Clinics in Dermatology, and Cosmetics.
Specializing in aesthetic/procedural dermatology, gynecologic/obstetric dermatology, and psychodermatology, Dr. Kroumpouzos has an extensive publication record comprising over 160 peer-reviewed publications, 40 book chapters, and seven books/texts. He is recognized with multiple accolades and honors for his research and teaching in dermatology, including the International Union Against Cancer Award, Yamagiwa-Yoshida International Cancer Fellowship, New England Dermatologic Society Award, Teacher of the Year Award by the Department of Dermatology at Brown University, and the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award at Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
