Dr. Florin Eggmann, a lecturer at the University Center for Dental Medicine Basel (UZB), earned his doctorate from the University of Zurich in 2015. He graduated from the University of Zurich Dental School in 2014. His main research interests include improving the management of deep carious lesions and advancing the prevention and treatment of dental injuries. He serves as a board director of the Swiss Association of Preventive, Restorative, and Esthetic Dentistry (SSPRE). He worked as a research fellow at the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School from 2022 to 2023. Dr. Eggmann's work has been recognized with several awards, including the Wrigley Prophylaxis Award in 2012 and the SSPRE Research Award in 2016.
