Fadi H. Mourad MD

Dr. Fadi Mourad is currently a Professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians-UK (FRCP). A gastroenterologist and a basic scientist and clinical investigator, he has been practicing medicine for more than 25 years. Dr Mourad has special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease and in gastrointestinal physiology and pathophysiology of intestinal water and nutrient transport. He has authored or coauthored more than 120 scientific manuscripts, reviews and abstracts. He is a member of many national and international professional organizations and on the editorial board of many scientific journals. He is also heavily involved in teaching Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and gastrointestinal physiology to medical students, residents, fellows and nurses.
