Associate Professor, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OhioDr. Eva Mistry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Cincinnati and a board-certified vascular neurologist and a stroke clinical trialist. After completing a clinical residency in neurology at the Houston Methodist Hospital, she gained expertise in clinical vascular neurology and stroke research through an NIH-funded StrokeNet fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
She is currently a Fellow of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and an active member of the American Academy of Neurology. She serves as an associate editor of the journal Stroke. She also leads the NIH StrokeNet OhioValley Regional coordinating center and is an executive committee member of the NIH StrokeNet National Coordinating Center.
As a researcher, she focuses on novel clinical research methods to ensure efficient translation of innovation to stroke patient care. Her research is funded by the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute and spans from phase 2 novel drug development to phase 4 studies focused on health disparities.
