Emily Y Chu MD, PhD
Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaDr. Chu is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a dermatologist and dermatopathologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and other melanocytic lesions, inherited skin tumor syndromes, and novel targeted therapy reactions in the skin.
Dr. Chu received her undergraduate degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Development Biology at Yale University. She then obtained her MD/PhD at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, then returned to the University of Pennsylvania for residency training in dermatology. She worked as a Staff Clinician at the National Institutes of Health before returning once again to the University of Pennsylvania for a fellowship in dermatopathology. She joined the faculty at Penn upon finishing her fellowship training.
