Fellow in Pulmonary Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, GreeceDr. Eleni Papoutsi is an aspiring clinician-scientist, deeply motivated to make meaningful contributions to the field of Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine.
She graduated (MD) with excellence from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in 2021. During her undergraduate studies, she received a scholarship through competitive exams.
In her postgraduate years, she worked as a PhD student in a funded project on acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), under the mentorship of Dr Ilias Siempos. Currently, she is a resident in the First Department of Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Services of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School, Greece.
Overall, in her 3-year research activity, she has published as first author in top specialty journals in the field of Critical Care Medicine, such as Intensive Care Medicine. Her work as an early career investigator has already been well recognized by the scientific community as indicated by the 5301 citations and index=10, with one publication even reaching the top 3 of the most cited publications in Critical Care journal during 2022.
