Daniel Munhoz MD, PhD
Research Fellow, Cardiovascular Center Aalst, OLV Clinic, Aalst, BelgiumDr. Daniel Munhoz is a research fellow in interventional cardiology at Cardiovascular Center Aalst in Aalst, Belgium. He received his medical degree from the University of Brasília(UnB) in his home country, Brazil. After completing his medical studies, he obtained a master's in medical science and a PhD in Cardiology focused on atherosclerosis and vascular biology at University of Campinas (Unicamp). He trained in cardiology at Unicamp, including a fellowship focused on coronary care unit. He then worked at Unicamp as a cardiologist assistant, being involved in cardiology education of medical students, residents and fellows. He was honored as a teacher by Unicamp's medicine classes of 2017, 2018 and 2020.
He is currently concluding his PhD focused in coronary physiology at CardioPath by the University of Naples Federico II. His primary clinical and research interests center on interventional cardiology, atherosclerosis and vascular biology and diabetes.
