Claudia Hernandez, MD, completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago and went on to attend Northwestern University Medical School. She returned to the University of Chicago for her internship in Internal Medicine and completed her dermatology residency at Northwestern. She completed a one-year program on health disparities with the National Hispanic Medical Association taught by New York University R.F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She has worked on developing culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach methods for underserved Spanish-speaking communities and physician diagnostic accuracy in the recognition of melanoma.
