Postdoctoral Associate, Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, Boston University, Boston, MassachusettsDr. Claire Cordella is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Aphasia Research Laboratory at Boston University. Prior to this position, she received an undergraduate degree in Linguistics from Cornell University (2012) and a Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Bioscience and Technology from Harvard University (2019). Dr. Cordella is also a licensed speech-language pathologist and completed clinical training at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and the MGH Institute of Health Professions.
Dr. Cordella’s research interests center on the differential diagnosis and treatment of speech and language disorders as they occur in aphasia and other acquired communication disorders. Her Ph.D. research focused specifically on the quantitative assessment of motor speech disorders in primary progressive aphasia. In the Aphasia Research Laboratory, she is currently working on a project that uses a large dataset of mobile data from a telerehabilitation app to identify predictors of aphasia outcomes.
