Christopher J Rudnisky MD, MPH, FRCSC
Professor, University of Alberta, Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, Edmonton, Alberta, CanadaDr. Rudnisky is a Professor with the University of Alberta, Department of Ophthalmology. He completed both his MD (with distinction) and a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Alberta and is also board-certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology. In 2009, he received a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Locally, he is the Chair of the Ophthalmology Undergraduate Medical Education Committee, Chair of the CPSA NHSF Committee and an Executive Member of the Eye Physicians and Surgeons Association of Alberta. Most recently, he served as the Interim Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Alberta in 2023. He has also been elected to and served on the Alberta Medical Association Representative Forum for more than 10 years. Nationally, he is the Past Chair of the Royal College Examination Committee (Ophthalmology), and a Section Editor (Epidemiology) for the CJO. He has published 80 peer-reviewed articles and was awarded “Best Surgical Teacher” for 8 times in the last 12 years. He also received a resident teaching and mentorship award in 2021 and was Teacher of the Year in 2013.
